I've got an inset fire which is slightly too big for the opening - the seals can't press against the front. How can I reduce the opening by a couple of cm either side? I think just mortar/fire cement won't be strong enough as the seals will be pressing against it. The mortar may crack too...

I've had a spate of low pressure issues recently. MWP @ about 17.5mb Centrica engineers are a special breed but I couldn't take being told again that I was wrong so I asked the last one to prove the pressure was OK. The guy quite confidently passed me his basic u-gauge to confirm my digital one...

The flue for a glow worm micron 30ff is apparently obsolete but there must be other flues that would fit it surely, it's just a standard 100mm horizontal flue right? I mean when a bg gas engineer tells you that you'll have to change the whole boiler as well because you can apparently no longer...

My first post here, looking for some advice. I've just had my boiler replaced with a worcester 4000 combi boiler. The engineer put chemical flush and inhibitor in when filling up, ran the raditors hot and then tested using a strip. And has left both in saying this is safe, and standard...

Hi all. Just need to clear my head around these changes. I am guessing we do not need to put in new radiators when just replacing a boiler?

Hi all! Have recently finished my training and am looking for anyone who would be willing to help me complete my gas engineer portfolio? I did have a mentor but he has ghosted me and have messaged over 70 local people and nobody seems to want to do it! I’m in the Worcestershire area! Many thanks
