Put new fill and flush valve in two WC's. Done this job many hundreds of times, never have any callbacks. One toilet fine, the other one has like annoying infrequent drip, drip from inside the pan. I checked the flush seal, sealing surface inside cradle nice and smooth, tried a new valve in...

Never been to one before but now got some I want to shift.
Whats the protocol, just rock up? Any tips for not getting shafted or are they all regulated and above board these days?
Just got taps and copper. Couple wheelie bins full, was planning saving up more but taking up too much space and...
Just realized that I have been on this forum for 10 years and 1 day.
Joined up when had some real horrid things going on... death of my dad + health issues + bad financial issues.
Personally didn't think at the time I would be around now.
I would hate to read some of the posts I've posted over...
Does anyone use 10mm plastic for heating?
I have a full heating system to do and will be using hep under the floors.
I’m considering a 22mm manifold with 10mm for the bedroom 3x 600x1000 type 21s and a towel rail but I have never really used 10mm so a bit cautious
Long time no post hope everyone's doing well.

The incoming watermain is currently coming up out the concrete bathroom floor in 15mm, I've got to run a new main up and into the loft and either put a...
Evening all.
Does anyone know if you can get 22x15 end feed reducing couplings with the 22mm end which fits over the pipe? I can get them like that in solder ring but not end feed. I think it's ridiculous that I have to buy a slip coupling then put a reducer in it.
Thanks,
Jock
Vaillant fibre washers have gone thin and cheap.
I picked up some regin from the merchants but they are the same.
Any recommendations for decent thick fibre washers?
Just had my 60th birthday at the end of July I always said I'd have a new car as a reward to myself for 45 years of graft , just picked it up well happy with it so far, always had Honda's so wasn't going to change brand went for a Hybrid over full electric . Kop
Went yesterday to look at a potential job. Bigger than I thought as original info was couple of bathrooms need doing, whereas it's 6 bathrooms and 2 downstairs cloaks.
Old House, pulled to bits and massively extended. All ground works done, all floors in, no ceilings in, and stud walls boarded...
I need to get to a horizontal flue while
Replacing a boiler.
It’s on the 3rd floor and about 12m high
Higher than my triple extension and seems to be higher than most for sale.
Any ideas other than a scaffold?
Customer of mine has cracked the corner of there acrylic bath its not chipped but there is a noticeable crack in the sutface. Job has nothing to do with me I was there repairing the boiler but I said I would ask on here if anyone knows if it could be repaired TIA

Evening All,
I have an unusual customer who is bit of a recyling nut. Last year we installed a heat only boiler (only after it died) and changed all his downstairs rads. It's only a small 3 bedroom house but for some reason he resisted getting a combi. Now he's having a loft extension there's...
As some of you know I’ve only worked on housing stock, which is mainly high pressure systems and mostly two tap hole installations. After my advice on another thread (thank you for those who contributed) I was looking at renewing my basin mixer. I’ve seen a few different ones, and I like this...
Hi folks, I've decided I need to venture out on my own as a plumbing and heating engineer. I've spent a little while subbying to big companies on the commercial sites but I feel that it's time I made my own way if possible. I've also been PAYE for a big portion of my time in the trade. The most...
