Hi All,
I have this silly question. Water pressure for hot water is a bit low while cold water has a decent pressure.
Why do they put 22mm copper pipes for hot water? It seems detrimental for already low pressure.
Best regards
Hi All,
These push fit type pipes are in the bathroom, they twist but I was not able to disconnect the long 35mm black one - quite tight fit.
Is there any compression type connector or flexible connector I can use to connect these two pieces or any transition to 40mm system?
I have cut it to be...
I wondered if anyone could help. We have just had some panels installed however there is quite a large gap left at the top where the panel joins the roof to be filled. Is this normal? I was under the impression they should really go to the roof with a little silicone?

Hi all,

Unfortunately, i've Instantly noticed when...
Hi we've just had a bathroom fitted with a mixer tap to the sink and mixer tap with a bath handheld shower fitting to the bath and there is almost no pressure at all. Previously we had single taps and the pressure was fine and is good downstairs.
It is all gravity fed. We have a shower pump...
Hi all.
I need to improvise a flush pipe some how. Anyone managed to do this with waste pipe at all. Basically the cistern is on the back of a 2 inch stud wall of where the toilet will go. The pipe cannot go straight down due to a washing machine needing to fit into the space below the...
Hi all,
Missus has decided to upgrade the shower to one with a rainfall head, and so naturally it's another job added to the list for me
I'm trying to work out how much change to the existing pipe work I'm going to need to do, and would be grateful for any advice. Currently it's a power shower...
I think we have an indirect hot water cylinder, we are trying to replace a sink. However there are no isolation valves on the in-between the taps and the piping. Is there a way to turn off the cold water flow to the taps, without turning off the main water supply incoming to house ? I have...

We’ve just had the bathroom fitters fit the new shower try in our attic bathroom. The house is a late Victorian, three story ’villa’ so the room for thenew bathroom was never intended to be a bathroom meaning the fitters are unable to sink the wastepipe into the floor completely. It is also a...
My friend's bathroom is on a concrete slab. Near the shower there, for years, the wood has slowly rotted. Several folks replaced drywall, but didn't look much further. It's next to a shower. The shower's been retiled twice, and the shower pan has been replaced once. Everyone thinks it's coming...

Hi. First time poster.
I've just had a new bathroom fitted in my loft and am having an issue with noisy taps - modern mono mixer. Not water hammer, but when they are half on they make a noise that I find unacceptable, yet my plumber insists this is just the way it is. However, my other taps...

Hopefully a simple question for someone in the know, but why do some plumbers/installers run everything in plastic pushfit (Hep2O or JG) and then swap over to copper for the last bit before a shower etc? I see this being done on installations where there is a pushfit adaptor available for the...
I need to replace this click clack mechanism.
I can’t find one the same length (54mm when closed).
Any suggestions on where to get one, please?
I’m not a plumber and would struggle to replace the whole plug.
Many thanks
