Hi all, ive installed a fair few ufh systems now, all of which are onto oil boilers. Im starting a ashp system next week and was wonderimg how you all loop the pipe to 150mm centers. So far ww have hand formed the loops to 200mm centers but im not confidend of hand forming beyond that!! Does anyone one have a tool ir tricks thry use??

Its the mlcp that comes with the reliance manifolds from grahams, similaf to maincor as thats what we used to use

Hi,

What type of floor do you have ? Do you use any floating sheets?

We used to build a former out of plywood. It took us 1/2 hour but the distance between the pipes were 200mm.

Use a counter flow layout. Go into the room, run round the perimeter, run round at 200mm centres, get to the middle and come back out.
No problem getting 100 centres. Works better too.

love the snail method and you get better return temps

The straight runs are obviously no problem; when you get to the turn form a light bulb shape and carry on. if the outer curves of the light bulb shape are close together don't worry--far better than kinking the pipe!
