Back in the 80's as a young apprentice it quickly became evident that transport was essential in this game. Lugging tools around on a bus was not much fun...So as soon as I turned 17 I applied for my provisional licence and took up driving lessons. Passed first time wohoo & for my 18th birthday, I had saved up £55 and purchased my first car. It was Datsun Cherry 100A. cost me £350 to insure it! It had a tendency to overheating. but it was MINE & my pride & joy.

Vauxhall nova sr. Got it stolen, was used by joyriders for two weeks and the police got it back for me. It was a great car.

Also had a mk2 escort which my mate rolled and that was the end of that. I bought the mk2 for next to nothing, they are worth alot now.

Great cars I had one and the same colour too

Morris 1000 with trafficators(pop out indicators) the young out there may have to Google that lol paid £ 15 for it .....still remember no plate 611 HOD...happy days regards Turnpin:)

To be honest I was given that car to learn in and it was not great, but yeah I do love my cars!!

I used to be. But then lost interest. My cousin in well into them. He restored a fiesta XR2 an escort RS Mexico, owned a Sierra cosworth and restored a mk2 cortina which I think he still has in the garage.

Mine was the Yamaha DT125. Liquid cooled I recall.
Really would have preferred the Honda 4 stroke equivalent and it has a nicer noise

ugh, I never really bonded with any of my 4 strokes.. currently have a KTM300 2 stroke crosser, awesome and terrifying in equal measure

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
