Will this destrat pump be okay for my Telford horizontal cylinder?

If you are only heating part of the cylinder i.e. say the top 1/3, then why are you thinking of adding a de-strat pump to mix it all up, you will just end up with a cylinder full of luke warm water?

    Primatic Cylinder Draining

No there shouldn't be a problem heating is filled via air locks inside so secondary side will be fine.

    Technical certificate 6129

My advice would be to speak to JTL Training, the C&G 6129 can still, I believe, be APL'ed (Attained Prior Learning) over against the 6189 NVQ Level 2, so no college side, you will just need to obtain the on site evidence & be observed a couple of times, it can be complete quickly if you have...

Will this destrat pump be okay for my Telford horizontal cylinder?

The problem is as likely to be with the heat up time as with stratification, 2 hours is never going to be enough time to heat 240 Litres. To give you an idea a 250L vertical with 1 x 3kw would take close to 4 hours to heat, your horizontal will take longer, check the MI's (instruction) they...

HIU - how do they work?

The pipes to the HeatX under the block I was looking at this week on Kidbrook Village were 6" but lord knows what they are from the energy centre. HIU in each flat but also an exchange to each block maybe to help with the circulation around the site as a whole but seems a bit wasteful as with...

Pilot light in boiler keeps going out, but only when boiler is warm

I kind of agree with you Andy (removing the stupid gene & all that) however it is rarely just them that end up dead or injured, I don't want that on my conscience, so I have a simple self regulating system. I will not provide information unless I am both sure it is correct & safe to do so (as...

    MEXICO SUPER 3 CF 100 spares ?

I am all for repair rather than replacement up to a point but a CF, you must be lucky if no more of than a 1/3 of the kW of gas you are buying isn't going straight out of the flue. Retire the old girl she has serviced you well, it is time to install a brand-new shiny condensing one. (You can...

Pilot light in boiler keeps going out, but only when boiler is warm

That is strange because that boiler does not have a Thermocouple !!, which is precisely why you need the services of a proper GSR.

    Hot water not working

You might want to get the Megaflo checked out because the maximum setting on the immersion control is 70deg C & the thermal cutout, as you call it, is 80-85deg C so something must have gone wrong for the water temperature to get high enough for the high limit on the indirect (boiler) side to...

Pilot light in boiler keeps going out, but only when boiler is warm

Sorry but any info we would provide could allow someone else to have a go at fixing theirs & they would be breaking the Law. Phone a couple of GSR up explain the problem & get them to give you a price.

    Soil Vent query. Bad smells

Hi Dave Unfortunately you are discovering the hard way that Automatic Air Admittance Valves are not the complete solution to venting drainage systems. The clue is in the name they can only allow air in to break negative pressures they can't release positive pressure & both can cause trap seal...

    Manifold question

Yes there is a blank in the middle so right hand 4 connections are the flows & left hand are the returns. Unfortunately a replacement manifold will be very hard to find as not listed by Yorkshire since 2016.
