Am I the only one struggling to find appliances' manuals online? I know it's hard enough with cookers and old gas fires but I've just been unable to find the manual for an Ideal Exclusive. I thought I had found it but it turns out the GC number was different.
Given the law says "refer to MI"...
I've got an inset fire which is slightly too big for the opening - the seals can't press against the front.
How can I reduce the opening by a couple of cm either side? I think just mortar/fire cement won't be strong enough as the seals will be pressing against it. The mortar may crack too...
I had to gas rate on an E6 meter in a dark, muddy basement the other day. No place to put down tools.
I stayed there for two minutes only to find out the meter index had not updated at all. Obviously the cooker was burning gas.
I press the red button at the beginning and the end.
Has anyone...
The ads don't bother me as much as the green agenda. Every month it's the same old same old fit a room stat, magnetic filter, TRV to save gas and save the planet.
I skip all of this now and there's very little left to read.
Well, that was easily sorted.
I called Gas Safe multiple times today but had to wait too long to speak to customer services so hung up each time. Technical helpline was prompt but not the right person to speak to regarding registration.
Meanwhile I was getting replies to my emails...
No, not subbing, just wanted some extra protection with a ltd company.
So looks like I'll need two registrations, one for myself and one for the company, even though I'll be the only one in the company.
Who gets the new reg? Myself or the company? Is there the usual inspection that goes with it?
