What an absolute cow!

I only work for one landlord but has a few houses and latest tennant is pushing me to walking out. I'm maxed out till March but as i cant say no I've squeezed in this shower over the bath job in, the white tiles are 20x25 with a slight bumpiness but all I could find locally are the flat ones, I trailed around ages last night and she really moaned down the phone and didn't even thank me for my trouble. She can't understand why I can't find tiles no match and is giving me grief, "would you have half the tiles not matching in your bathroom?" she had the cheek to pour down the phone at me on a Friday night and gone 7, I had to really bite my tongue.
I'm starting the job this morning and if she starts I'll explode, I don't need the work or the stress.

I would suggest a tile border to break them up but I don't see why I should help her now, I want her to suffer, why can't I tile the whole bathroom then? she said. I said there's no way the landlord would pay for it and even if he would I would't have time to do it.

Phil. Under no circumstances discuss it with her. Be polite but firm,"Sorry but please direct any comments you may have to your landlord"
Then, to your client, please tell me what YOU want me to do. I will not discuss this with your tenant. "

Being nice in this instant is a waste of time.

If she persists then explain to the landlord the job cannt be completed with her around for health & safety reasons - you'll slap her if it continues

Yes, B&Q is where I ended up, plain not bumpy and 2mm bigger.
She's one of those entitled tennants who thinks she can have anything she wants at the drop of a hat which winds me up and thinks she can take it out on other people because she pays £550 a month to live in an area that can only be described as a **** ole.

Spent two hours there just now with her kids round my feet constantly being shouted at by their white trash mother, her husband is actually a nice guy and not a chav at all. He needs a gold medal every day if you ask me.

Why are you being drawn into what she wants the Landlord is the one who is paying you. Just redirect her to the bill payer.

How about covering the whole end wall in a shower panel, no tile repairs or making good?
If I rip the tiles off I'm going to end up back to cinderblock, You mean the flimsy plastic stuff Chris?

Absolutely , at last I can chill and lounge around like everyone else seems to do while I work around them.
Been doing this most of the day mate.

Edit - Spelling error

I did the tiling for this job today, we agreed a border would be best and I said yes and thought lets just get this done so I can do proper jobs for nice people, I said last week if you have time go to B&Q and pick some 6mm mosaics and tell me and I'll go and buy them. She did F all and I had to go and take pictures and send them to the phone she permanetly has glued to her eyes and asked her to pick red, green or blue.

The ignorant cow replied straight back 'red', no thank you or anything, when I arrived this morning she said "what ya got red for I said blue"
I had to use every fibre of my being to control myself, I said look its right here RED! She said oh yes but I said blue and my predictive text changed it....Oh my god I've had to charge the LL an extra hour to go back and swap them.

Just remember rule no 1. If the customer changes anything, then the customer pays for it. If the LL is happy to defer to the tenant's every whim, then great. Just make sure you charge enough.

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
