cant see any screw or cover from pic so knobs are probably just pushed on. it may take bit of force and persuading as probably they are limescaled. good luck.

Thanks guys!!!! It pulled off with difficulty, but I had been scared to try before I got your advice. In fact, inside is an Ideal Standard 963400NU headwork ( cartridge ) - see pic.
I think the drip problem is associated with the ring washer highlighted.
It seems to be 20mm diameter.
Does anyone know the exact spec?
Your help has been greatly appreciated§

I doubt if it is that O ring pal , but if it is , those are easy to source.
Ring ideal I have always found them very helpfull .

Thanks again guys - I fixed the drip - possibly will re-occur, but fine for now!

Not having new O-ring I cleaned the scale from the thread near the O-ring, then used a small screwdriver to raise the O-ring around its circumference, to make it more proud, then ran some vaseline around the ring - replaced the unit - and the drip has stopped.

Without advice from you, I couldn't have done it!

Well done. At least if it fails again you now know you can change it for a new cartridge if necessary, now you have the knowledge.

The bottom seal washer - (a sort of soft white rubber washer) is what often deteriorates with those works. If the compression then is lessened against the ceramic works, the tap will drip. I have replaced that washer as a temporary fix, but not worth the bother
