I should have posted this weeks ago , sorry .
Its to all VW diesel owners on here , if you havnt had the emission fix done yet , DONT .

Its well documented now that there are thousands having problem problems after the fix , at long last was on watchdog earlier tonight .

I have owned loads of VW 's over the years , and love my Caddy but cannot give anymore money to a company that just lies to its customers.

Rant over ... ish

Glad I went for a transit custom now. Only thieving barstewards to worry about now.

I`ll google watchdog tomorrow, thanks TFJ.

Its worth watching , as you know I love my Caddy , but they lied over the emissions to start with now they just lie over the fix . I am on a Facebook group with over 4 K members now , its that buzy I am thinking of coming of it , it blocks everything else .
Thats 4K just on facebook . Thank god I didnt have it done .

my van and the wife car have been recalled but I decided from day one I was not going to bother

I had a Seat Leon Tdi and decided not to have it done from the start, after watching Watchdog I am glad I didn't

You will be glad you didnt , my pal took his Toerag in and they have ruined it , he has to drop down a gear when he sees a hill and mpg has dropped loads .

Does that affect the warranty if you refuse to have it remapped. I heard it makes the vehicle lose power.

From what I know ..... you dont have to do the "fix" because its not a safety issue . All sorts of problems happen .

I had my A5 2.0tdi done when it went in for it's service in Nov 2016, when it cane back I couldn't tell any difference, so was happy .... however last week the car threw an engine fault light, my mate has a code reader as I always like to have an idea of the issue before going to the dealer ....

Turns out there is a fault with my DPF, so did some more research, a DPF is supposed to last 70-85,000 miles, my car has done 51,000 miles, has a full Audi main dealer service history and i even use shell V-power diesel in it ...

What i have been told is that the emissions upgrade causes the car to do more regenerations which in turn leads to premature failure of EGR's and DPF's!!!! ....

I now have the unenviable task of convincing Audi to sort my DPF fault at their cost ....

I would most certainly agree with others on here, if you have not had the emissions update then DON'T!!!!

Makes me pleased I've got a petrol guzzling golf R32 :)

The A5 is gone once it's fixed, I'm back to petrol from now on and hang fuel economy! :D
