I guess a flexi that is used on a toilet supply needs to be wras approved. Even though its not supplying drinking water. But incase the system experiences back flow. Am I correct?

Yes but tbh anything you supply/ fit should be wras approved

I just saw a 500mm flexi in screwfix one with an iso valve that isn't wras approved. Can't think why you'd want one with an iso valve on for a heating system.

Because it's a normal cold water one :D always pipe up expansion vessels in copper

And some people just don't care fitt anything

Reckon most expansion vessels I see have a flexi, thought it was the norm.

IMO , most wras gear is generally better quality rather than the normal Far East junk

Not wras approved though. Thus not suitable to put on the toilet feed? Need a longer one than 300mm.

Thanks is the above flexi not suitable to pipe a toilet up with, because its not wras approved. Cant see the purpose of it, when do you need a flexi with and iso valve on, on a heating system?

I would not use them on heating only on hot and cold supplies stick with the wras approved product generally better quality . cheers kop

Why do you need it that long ?

Have you tried BES? Do plumbing items need to be specifically WRAS approved? I thought that just meant they'd given someone in WRAS a backhander or sexual favours? What if it has a KIWA approval or suitable BS?

Hello, I have a troublesome fixed 15mm copper pipe with isolation valve going to my toilet fill valve. It's too tight for a Flexi hose. Can I use a push fit tap connector instead which will give me more flexibility in fitting?

I recently had an eco tec plus 836 combi installed as part of an oil to gas conversion. One thing I can’t work out is why the bathroom sink hot water flow is 12-13L per minute with at 44c and even hotter. However the nearby bath freestanding tap is 8-9L per minute at this temp. Both taps...

Hi, As I need to purchase two new taps for our en suite, I've noticed that almost all taps now come with flexi tails as standard. I've read some horror stories about these bursting / leaking so would prefer rigid fixings like the existing ones they are replacing. I'm looking to purchase this...

Hi, I am replacing a leaking push fit flexi tap connector under the bath with a compression fitting flexi. The problem is that the old pipe seems to be slightly smaller than 22 mm compression fitting and when I tighten the compression nut the whole fitting is easily sliding off the pipe and...
