Hi.
I work in a care home and the sprinkler system tank is leaking from a weld in the tank. What sealant do you recommend using on a permanently wet surface, with the tank still filled with water?
Thank you in advance.

Sounds like a bodge
Can it be repaired properly?

Isnt it a safety concern if its leaking?

There are some tapes, sprays and and sealants that claim to work in the wet. They look amazing in the videos but never tried one

Has the company that maintains the sprinkler system to the required standards, certified it as O.K with a leaking tank?

A temporary supply could be brought in whilst the tank is repaired properly, although if it's got 1 leak on a weld it may have more and be scrap.

It is auto filling so the water is never low. So it still serves its purpose.

it can be emptied, just need to follow the protocol

and fyi if the water board come round they will shut you down for wastage of water
