hello,
a problem today with a greenstar 24ri heat only boiler.
Woke up to no heating or hot water, the boiler had locked out and water was pouring out from inside the casing.
Removed boiler cover and water was leaking from top of heat exchanger, air/gas manifold and fan.
The condensate siphon was totally blocked with sludge and had back filled into the boiler parts.
Removed condensate siphon and cleaned the debris out.
Replaced condensate siphon which then began to fill back up immediatley with water and then discharge down the condensate pipe. (Boiler not on) This process did not stop.
Is there likely to be a pin hole leak in the heat exchanger causing water to leak into the sump and fill up the siphon continuously.
Any ideas welcome
Phil

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
