Would you?
I have one wanting a labour only price
After a few messages I have managed to get an answer that it's a vokera and needs a verticle flue.

Make sure you have put the profit onto your labour price. If they say labour only you could try saying that means flux, solder, wall plugs, screws, jointing compound, ptfe.

Or you could let me supply the parts and do my job, while you sit back and relax

It depends who it is I have done recently for one landlord.
Suited me labour only tbh

Yep but any down time to missing parts is chargeable

I tend to attach this to any quotes for labour only

I would do it if it was a standard flue
Through the roof just means its a hassle if not enough bits or anything is missing

Nope, not worth it , who sorts or pays for any problems. Disaster and aggro waiting to happen and if they are that tight that they want to save any profit on you buying the boiler they sure as hell ain't gonna pay for it in added labour charges.

After a few messages, you got the boiler brand and it's needs a vertical flue.
Chances are you are one of many who have been contacted.
Most people would ask you to come and look at the job to give a quote for the works needed.

To me it sound like the landlord is trying to get a fixed figure via messaging and holding the contractor to that price.

Either go look at the job or walk away.

Open it on your comp or an iPhone works for me
They never work on my iPhone randomly. Not on a laptop often either. Have them now and will try and attach them Later if I remember. Will try my iPad as well

I'm doing an oil one for a landlord. Made them buy a hounsfield boiler and my labour only price is just over £1500.

No. That's my answer.
Not worth it. They will pester you stupid if anything goes wrong because you fitted it.
It's worth the risk of callbacks or warranty issues with a Boiler you are making money on and a customer you want to keep and one who will remain loyal.
People who want cheap, are not normally the loyal type.
In my experience.

I have the same issue i do work for a local one man band builder who has a small terraced house which has a 12year old vokera combi i have serviced and repaired i recomended he get it changed this year as it is getting noisey ,and is struggling to supply hotwater for the tenant hes keen on another vokera as its given him no major problems in the time its been fitted and his thinking is i can swap it in a few hours as the pipework layout will be the same, wrong told him 2days labour £600+materials £1000 take it or leave it we can all be busy fools bud quote you price and stick to it . cheers kop
