Because he has a small leak, cant find it and he says it saves him topping up.
I said its dangerous but he's adamant and has been doing it for a year or so
 
If he's doing that why not just leave the filing loop open permanently:rolleyes:
I knew some people with a knackered ev and they just left it open 24/7 then one day hot water was flooding down the side of the building, top floor of a small block. They just closed the loop, waited for it to reseal and then turned it on again.

POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler - Hot Water Issue
