I'm lost  :D

Shaun charges too little  cos he's too kind.

I'd charge a minimum of £20 a cart. Recently did two taps on back of a bath @£200 the pair. Saved the cust £1000 as he'd been quoted £1200 for bath out retile etc :)

An early version Shaun. We used to use adhesive to glue in the spindles and to glue on the shroud adapter !!

I see glad it's not that type as I personally wouldn't of bought it

Oh gosh I'd forgotten about that! Hell we changed from that ages ago to a more robust, faster, safer and more reliable method. Its all now, genuinely, a piece of cake - hence the record time. When you saw it we had to wait 10 minutes for the adhesive to go off!!!

We did 140 odd demos whilst we were at Installer. 1, just 1 out of all of those people mentioned it being 'faffy' and it struck a chord with me. So 6 weeks later I'd redesigned it to what it is now and even I am happy with it :eek::eek:
Wouldn’t be surprised if the person that mentioned it being Faffy was me. I did say I was one of the first to see it. Was quite interested at the time. You even wrote my details in your diary. Was really quite sad when I wasn’t contacted.:(:(

I did question the adhesive at the time mate.

Smarty pants :D

We are all endowed with 20:20 vision, but at the time it was all we could come up with. To be fair tho, we still had huge amounts of interest - especially the big boys as it would still have saved them shed loads of time (money).

But did you chase him up

Hmm. There was some 'internal disagreement' about the keeping quiet thing. Lets just say, "That's no longer our strategy."

We expected to be launching quite quickly but it was nearly 18 months before we were able to properly do so. Getting those ducks in a row is like herding cats - that's the single most awful mixed metaphor ever!

Didn’t mean for it to sound like that mate(sorry). Always sceptical with stuff like that. That’s why I do not use his stuff.
What do you use now then?

When you say you 'do' a lot of taps Phil, do you mean change a lot?
I seem to tighten a lot of monoblocks up for folk. I get by with erm..erm...the universal ceramic cartidges from screwfix but may invest in one of your kits soon.
I dont just scrap a new tap just because its dripping.

Tight is the phrase you're looking for

What that means old bean is you get nowt for owt. So, being the caring people we are we've made it profitable for you, profitable for custards & profitable for us. Who's losing out? Poor manufacturers :p

Meant tap manufacturers (actually only importers here in UK). Cartridges are bought from Spain but made in China, spindles all made in Sheffield  The full story is on our site if you can be 4rsed :D

I know what you meant mate. I’m just in one of them moods:D:D

I do apologise for seemingly hijacking your thread Phil. Just realised so I'll stop posting. Sorry.
