bender
Bender ([benˈder], Moldovan Cyrillic: Бендер) or Bendery (Russian: Бендеры, [bʲɪnˈdɛrɨ], Ukrainian: Бендери), also known as Tighina (Romanian: Tighina), is a city within the internationally recognized borders of Moldova under de facto control of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistria) (PMR) since 1992. It is located on the western bank of the river Dniester in the Romanian historical region of Bessarabia.
Together with its suburb Proteagailovca, the city forms a municipality, which is separate from Transnistria (as an administrative unit of Moldova) according to Moldovan law. Bender is located in the buffer zone established at the end of the 1992 War of Transnistria. While the Joint Control Commission has overriding powers in the city, Transnistria has de facto administrative control.
The fortress of Tighina was one of the important historic fortresses of the Principality of Moldova until 1812.
My Irwin pipe bender has lost the retaining nut for the central bolt and the 12mm we have on site aren't the right pitch.
Does anyone know what type of 12mm nut to get?
Irwin don't, I've asked.
No replaceable parts on their benders.
Hi everyday peeps,
I need to correct a mistake in the heating system in my dad's flat which has two radiators connected with flow in at bottom and return from the same end at the top. Nothing wrong with TBSE in the right setting, but best not to have the flow and reversed messed up!
Easiest...
Just got myself a new 15/22mm pipe bender and am looking for a container. I have seen a couple of bespoke bags, but would rather a solid case of some form, if available.
Any ideas or pointers as to a suitable solid container?
I'm trying to find a spindle pin for this bender. This is the 19mm pin which goes through the quadrant bit then the bender frame, the bending arm, and out the other side. Irwin UK have told me this is only available as part of the quadrant assembly (Part No.T220H in their catalog, or part H in...
Just looking at various 22/15mm secondhand benders and notice many come without guides.
Are guides generally interchangeable between different brands or are they specific to a particular brand/model?
In use, is there any difference between alloy and steel guides ie is one type considered...

Plumbers Pipe Bender Holder - wall / van racking - holds 15mm & 22mm guides | eBay
Hello everybody.
I've had to install a shower in a bathroom where the roof encroaches into the room. This means I'm higher limited. I thought I'd try my luck as there were quite a lot of variables but I've come up unfortunate.
Now, obviously being a plumber I've got a pipe bender that does...
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a decent mini pipe bender for mostly 10mm pipe. I have a nasty cheap one that just mangles the pipe as much as bends it! I would rather spend a bit and get a decent one as I've started doing a lot of hob installs recently. Thanks for any help.
The hook on my Irvin Hilmor bender is slightly digging in to the pipe when pulling a bend. If I put insulation tape on the hook it stops this. Any one had this problem before?
Looking in to buying the rothenberger robender. See link below.
can as many of you as possible tell me what you think if you have used one or have one. It's over £300 for the kit and let me know if it's any good.
Talked to tecnical at RB and they say it's only really designed for soft...
Hi all! I've been given an old rothenberger pipe bender from my supervisor at work and it has started rippling the pipe and I was just wondering if there was a way of fixing this?
I've tried tightening the rollers and the formers and I have made sure that the guides are smooth.
If anyone has...
right, when I'm bending offsets I make the first angled bend, usually 45 degrees then I measure from the straight end section across the distance of the offset I require, then I add an additional 20mm and mark the pipe around.
then Its back into the bender to make the offset, I lower the wheel...
I can see plumbing becoming part of my DIY 'diet' in the next few years, so I've been looking at garnering a few tools together - one of which is a pipe bender. One for 15 and 22mm will do just fine.
The options seem to be:
A brand-new Hilmor or Record 'professional' type,
A second-hand...

So went to use my bender today and the hook stop has vanished. Can I buy this anywhere at a sensible price ??? The only one I've seen is on ebay for £42 which I think at that price I might as well buy a new bender.
