Hello,
I'm only a beginner and it's my first post on here. I got some great help over on the electricians forum recently so let's see how I get on here.
We're installing a dishwasher, I've come up with a plan for the plumbing and I need to bounce it off someone. Please see the annotated photos...
Hi
I did start a magnacleanse thread previously but I can't seem to find it.
Quick question
Can I use a magnacleanse flush on a system where there is no filter installed? Is it possible to disconnect the pump and connect the hoses?
I know I'm going to be told sell a filter on the job but...
Hi Everyone
We have a cold water 15mm pipe that routes through the upstairs floor cavity between the joists, over some electrical connections with fuse box below (including socket ringmain connectors) and then after another 400mm turns 90deg (bend/curve without fittings) and then goes through...
As you can see in the picture I’ve got a socket on the soil stack that I’d like to fit a toilet to at 90 degrees. I’m not sure the best way to do it, as I seem to have got into a muddle with the different fittings.
Unfortunately the old toilet was bodged so I don’t have a point of reference...
hi chaps,
have to fit one of these tomorrow - it's a 10 litre job. Instructions are as clear as mud/ however it does say " the connection to the hot water outlet is to be carried out with a cast iron or steel sleeve or dielectric connector " I have some 1/2 inch black iron fittings - can I use...
I believe the Primary flow and Return and Pipes to my Megaflow cylinder have been connected the wrong way round as the return pipe is much hotter the Primary flow. Will this in any way have a detrimental effect on the operational capabilities of the Megaflow cylinder.
Evening all
Would someone please give me some advice on available fittings to connect onto cut ended (i.e. not threaded) 1 1/4" steel barrel pipework, and then onto copper.
My client wants to add onto the end of a run of existing radiators, and because there is no easy access to a threaded...

Evening chaps.
I've got a Bristan monobloc mixer to fit. Now, the 10mm ends of the hoses fit a few inches deep inside the body of the tap, so can't get a spanner on them. Can't use a box spanner as even if I could get one on the hose, I wouldn't get it off as the other end is 1/2" bsp!
What do...
My daughter's just moved into her first house. She has an asbestos soil stack which runs through the house rather than up the outside of the building. I have uncovered the ground floor section as it was boxed in and found that the lower four feet is encased in concrete/cement. Is there a reason...

Hi all
New here!! I hope this is the correct section to ask this question. I have got a replacement second hand cooker but the hose connected to it appears to be a different design to the old bayonet cap hose and fitting I have. This new hose will not connect to the old wall connector.
I will...

I just had a visit from Building Control. The BCO said that I had too many appliances going into a 40 mm waste pipe. I have looked up Part H of the Building Regs, but I do not see any specification of how many branches you can have on a 40 mm pipe. The BCO said I had to connect them all into a...

Hi all

Hi,
Woke up this morning to find water dripping from the ceiling.
Had a look in the loft and its coming from the point where
one of the pipes connects to the plastic water tank towards
the bottom of the tank.
Please see photo.
Any idea how we can fix this?
