flexi
The flexi disc (also known as a phonosheet, Sonosheet or Soundsheet, a trademark) is a phonograph record made of a thin, flexible vinyl sheet with a molded-in spiral stylus groove, and is designed to be playable on a normal phonograph turntable. Flexible records were commercially introduced as the Eva-tone Soundsheet in 1962, and were very popular among children and teenagers and mass-produced by the state publisher in the Soviet government.
Hi,
As I need to purchase two new taps for our en suite, I've noticed that almost all taps now come with flexi tails as standard. I've read some horror stories about these bursting / leaking so would prefer rigid fixings like the existing ones they are replacing.
I'm looking to purchase this...
How safe are flexi pipes my toilet cistern has one it was changed about a year ago when the toilet was removed for some work to the bathroom floor. However would it be better if replaced with copper pipe. What is the life time of flexi pipes, has any one had experience of them failing.
Hello
I have had to adjust a sink hight by several mm. Now my bathroom basin 300mm flexi is a fraction too short. It does up but under tension. Is there a bush of some sort that I could use to extend by a few mm. Ideally 1cm or more. I’m thinking that a 500mm would have too much slack. Or would...
Hi I have a monobloc mixer tap which is 18mths old. a leak appeared underneath in the cupboard which looked to be coming from the flexi tail M8 end I replaced the new tails but when connecting up (hand tight)the leak is worse, is this a tail issue or could it be a cartridge perhaps, I have used...
Hi all, I need to order a flexible pipe to connect this vessel up with.
The pressure vessel instructions don't mention the thread size? A 22mm pipe almost fits over the threads so I assume it's 3/4 BSP? Does that sound right?
The other end goes to the valve, will a flexi like this...
Hi, fitting a back to wall toilet in a small cloakroom. The soil pipe is a vertical clay pipe about 20cm from the wall and so I will have to build boxing to be able to fit the toilet to the wall (this will hold the concealed cistern). I bought a flexi 90deg pan connector for back-to-wall...
I've bought an MX Flexi seal to fit to my new shower tray, but after reading more reviews, Im thinking it may be a poor choice.
Do you guys even fit them to your trays or do you not bother and simply silicone around the perimeter of the tray(the gap between the tray and the walls)
If some of you...
I'm installing a new kitchen tap and the existing pipe connection (photo attached) doesn't seem like it will accommodate a flexi pipe connection (photo attached).
I haven't taken it off yet but it looks like a female connection on the copper pipe. So I guess something needs to be added to...
Hi guys
Im replacing a set of basin taps with a v&b mixer tap.
The flexi tails attached to the tap body have got some fitting ends that I've not seen before
The instructions have some images of what look like push fit sockets (not supplied)
I want to fit the tails to 15mm copper pipe...
I’m replacing my kitchen tap. All seemed straightforward but old tap had female connector 15mm flexi taptail and new one seems to be 22mm. Tried B&Q and Screwfix but they only have male connecting hoses. Any advice?
Hi
Swapping over my kitchen tap, thought would be straight swap but not the case.
Old tap = 15mm copper into pvc/push fitting
New tap = European size Flexi hose into pvc/push fitting.
Now I have the European to 15mm adapter but there is no threaded insert in the pvc for it to grip into.
Am I...
Hi, I am by no means a plumber, however I am trying to fit a new Bathroom sink. As I don't know the correct terminology I have attached a couple of pictures to try and help explain it. I have attached an elbow stop pipe piece to a copper pipe and have no problems with this. However I have...
Hi chaps,
I’m installing wall hung toilet with a frame. I’m looking to run waste pipe without a flexi, but can’t figure out what’s on the market that will do that.
The waste on the frame is 90mm and has grooves for attaching into the frame and my soil stack is 110mm. I’m out by about 50mm...
Could someone please help me out I've recently split with my ex who taught me afew diy bits.
But I'm stuck. I've drilled the holes for the bath taps. Was told I should use full bore isolators.
but there isnt not enough room left to connect a 300mm flexi tap connector without them being to bent...
Hi all.
I need a flexible connector to connect my overflow waste to the main waste. The standard overflow pipes works for 1 end (this is to the main waste and is screwed on). However the end to the actual overflow bit is not big enough to fit over it. The original pipe's end was stretchy so it...
Hi all
I have this McAlpine overflow and waste HC2650UK:
https://mcalpineplumbing.com/sites/default/files/uploads/installation-instructions/hc2650uk_2.11.2018.pdf
The flexi overflow is not long enough. I thought it might be possible to extend it by fitting ordinary pipe and an appropriate...
