theft
Theft is the taking of another person's property or services without that person's permission or consent with the intent to deprive the rightful owner of it. The word theft is also used as a synonym or informal shorthand term for some crimes against property, such as larceny, robbery, embezzlement, extortion, blackmail, or receiving stolen property. In some jurisdictions, theft is considered to be synonymous with larceny, while in others, theft is defined more narrowly. Someone who carries out an act of theft may be described as a thief.Theft is the name of a statutory offence in California, Canada, England and Wales, Hong Kong, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and the Australian states of South Australia and Victoria.
Everyone needs one of these, not just for your tools, it is 24hr tracking regardless of what property you are trying to keep hold of, just connect it to a cheap tool such as a torch and leave it in PLAIN Sight, it WILL be stolen with your precious personal items, and you WILL find them. Prices...
hi everyone!
Been on here a while but haven’t posted much. I’m sure everyone is aware of van theft/tool theft at the moment. There’s a petition at the moment which is asking for tougher sentences and more to be done to the people taking tradesmens livelihood. I’ve attached a link for it if...
Unsure if any of you are aware of this, but I am currently part of a group of tradesmen who are campaigning for tougher sentences for those who commit tool theft, van theft and damage to vans when attempting to break into them.
We are aiming to get 100,000 signatures on our petition in order to...

At ********* we do not take kindly to theft of our stock either from us, or from our retailers.
With security in mind we have recently upgraded merchandising so that retailers are a little bit safer.

I'm a shared freehold manager. We have one leaseholder who tells his tenant that he has connected to the"communal gas supply" and there are no bills. We have no such thing of course, and have tried to get the Grid to investigate but their theft team are reluctant or just inefficient. One gas...
Does anyone know what the new scrap yard rules will entail, & how they will affect the likes of us, using scrapyards only occasionally.
I am led to believe I would not be able to use the scrapyard without several different licences for this, that & the other but that maybe wrong.
Anyone know...
Had the good old BG inspector on the phone today re case of 'theft' of gas at one of our properties. I haven't seen the installation yet, so I'm only going on what's the inspector has said.
The inspector is of the opinion that the 'theft' began with our new boiler installation. It went from a...

It's basically a free sat nav for your phone, but there's a bit of a community side to it too.
Interesting, and it's free. Perhaps worth checking out.
It's still growing in the UK. So the user...
Hi
I'm a reporter with BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat - I'm doing a story next week about copper theft - particularly pipes and wire from vans.
I'm looking to speak to an electrician or a plumber who's been a victim of this.
If you think you'd be up for talking to us - you can email me at...

Working on site is always a bit dodgy regarding tools. Leave them lying around and the chances are they won't be there when you come back.
I've worked in places off site where lads have come up to you and asked what tools you want. Then possibly gone and robbed them to order. You where not...
Obviously all copper, brass, lead etc is weighed in and sold for beer money but what do you do with old toilets, dishwashers, baths etc,? my local tip is a fortune to use the weighbridge so I can't imagine many plumbers/builders use them.
Do you leave it with the customer for them to get rid of?
