After 4 replacement C35's, uponor in 2015 sent a red dot version, in 2023 it also died. No power to the unit.
Is it time I should replace it with a controller from a different manufacturer?
I don't want to rewire or buy more stuff.
4 wired wall thermostats, digital timer, 8 actuators are fine...
Hi everyone,
I just installed Google Nest Thermostat 3 Gen, made for Europe together with Uponor C35 underfloor heating system (my version of the Nest comes with a heat link, which is a separate device installed near my underfloor control system. The thermostat talks to Heat Link via wireless or...
Hi, we have a leak from the underfloor heating manifold. It appears to be leaking from one of the thermal actuators (please see photos). It’s leaking about a cupful every day. So far, I’ve talked to about 10 local plumbers:–
Contacted original installer. The admin person kept telling me that...

Can some please identify the valve on this underfloor manifold ( with the black wire coming out of the top). Have an issue where the system is turning off every 10-20 minutes and staying off for a while then coming back on again. The room can’t get up to temperature because of this. Power was...
I have an actuator pin which is leaking when closed, i have swapped the actuator itself but that has not resolved the problem. I have ordered a replacement actuator valve but I'm not sure what i need to do to replace,,, if i put a spanner on it straight away I'm guessing that water will go...
Hi All. I hope you're well.
I need a bit of advice. Someone is having their engineered floor replaced which was installed 20yrs ago with underfloor heating. As the flooring people were taking up the old board they noticed a pipe came up with it. It has had a nail through it for 20yrs with no...
Hi all,
Thanks all in advance for any advice! (excuse my terminology - I am a basic DIY-er, but like to work things out)
I have a wet uponor UFH system. I am getting hot water to the valve in the picture attached, but it is not passing through the valve to the underfloor pipework. The...
I have a Wirsbo (Uponor) underfloor heating system installed in my bungalow in 1999/2000 using two Wirsbo area packs. This was later upgraded by installing electric actuators and wireless thermostats in each room. However I have noticed recently that two of the rooms are not getting warm...
Hi,
I am replacing the screed and pipe in one Conservatory room as the screed was shot and breaking up after ceramic tiles were lifted by my tiler. To be fair the screed must have been a bad mix or dried to rapidly in the conservatory heat.
Currently the whole system (14 loops) use UNIPIPE...
I have around 100 mclp crimp fittings in 16mm, 20 & 25mm. Tees elbows and sockets.
Reason for sale is, main builder where I have to use plastic pipe, likes Uponor Q&E so I haven't used any for a year.
if anyone uses mclp crimp fittings post on this thread. If any interest, I will take some pics.
Hi, we moved into a house with a 3 years old underfloor system. I notice a small leak coming from the pin (sitting in manifold under actuator). I think the leak stops once the actuator is removed and taken off the pin. I suppose I will need a new pin unit but as a similar leak seem to be...

Got a cold main in this Uponor 16mm pipe that I need to connect onto.
Been told by someone you can get a compression adaptor to copper, but I thought every joint was crimped. Anyone know if that's the case or how the he'll I can connect onto it without having to buy the crimpers ect.
cheers
Looking to install underfloor heating in a new extension and had already set on barrier pipe. The local merchant is an Uponor agent and is pushing their MLCP
There is some variation on the construction of Barrier but most match MLC exactly so what's the difference?
I have a customer who has the above system, it has stopped working on the upstairs circuit.
I have very limited knowledge of underfloor heating. I adjusted the balancing valve to try and force it round the 4 circuits to no avail.
The flow meter phials have orange gunk in them and i am tempted...

the main of my work is 15mm...
I want to move a radiator in my house and had a plumber come round and have a look.
He said it was some sort of some special piping system that you need a special machine to join up. It is made up of 16mm piping.
He referred to it as what sounded like the 'upnull' system and said he wouldn't...
