Evening all,

Has anyone used Myson Microboard? I have a customer who is adamant that if we use it we won't need any insulation above the sub floor with his UFH retrofit. I've always used 100mm of polystyrene and can't believe we can put this onto a sub floor.
Here's Myson's blurb: UNDERFLOOR HEATING SOLUTIONS by MYSON

Thanks,

Jock

Not familiar with it. Is it one of these overlay systems that you don't need to rip the old floor up?

Yes but he's wrong. I've researched every alternative and there's no escaping the need for a good depth of insulation on a retrofit - ideally 100mm of Kingspan or similar.

Yep else where's all the heat going

If he wants it customers knows best, just get him to sign something saying your right he's wrong etc can't be liable for system not working due to no sub insulation

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
