Hi guys,

just wondering if someone could give me a hint of how to access those 3 tap hole mixer ?
Brand : grohe
problem: whenever you open the rigid tap it lets water by to the shower head which has an attached hose ( right hand side ), left hand side is the ridgid bath filler, middle is mixer.
Obviously, when you open filler or shower head it always leaks down the hole and leaves water stains.

Because the flexible shower head is in and angle so it always leaks down the hole though.

What Would be better changing the whole set or just a cartridge ?

would it help once it's changed so water will not run when you fill the bath ?

Or better of changing the whole set ?

Thanks for your help

kind regards

ron

Don't know if it was cooincidental or not but I clicked on the link and my laptop froze and a few messages popped up saying something about a corrupted file and malware which I couldn't remove
Had to force shut down and restart laptop

Remove the handle/knob on the diverter valve and see if the innards can be taken out through the top (if you haven't already)
If that isn't possible, then you have 2 options, bath out to repair/replace taps
Or access from other side of wall (which looks like an external wall so very tricky)
Either way it's a ball ache, but every ball ache has a price

Hello Johnny,

Thank you for your fast help.
I have got a little leave to push up and down / to switch between filling and showering ...
I cannot really take anything out from the top:/

That's what I already thought taking bath out and replacing the 3 hole tap.
You are quite right it's the external wall 1st floor :))) a little bit tricky though.

Best off taking bath out which is also a little of a pain because of the glass panels don't want to break them really :) you also need to take the tiles out without breaking them. Basin needs removing too to get the bathtub out so a little bit of work for this one :)

Thank you very much
Appreciate your help.

Use an angle grinder to rake out the mortar between half a dozen bricks, replace tap from the outside and brick it back up. Quicker and a LOT less risky than removing bath & sink.

Hi Mas,

Thank you for your advise!

I will definitely consider this solution and will check on Saturday what's outside like.

Thanks

Kind regards,

Ronny

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
