Hi guys, ive been in the industry for about 4 years now and ive done my fair share of boiler breakdowns, but it seems 50% of the time its hit and miss (for me anyway), especially if you dont have the boilers booklet. So i was just wondering if theres any type of basic guidance you could give as in a scenario of checks to go through when i arrive, but i know this changes with different boilers! or if theres any books on brakdowns or a plug in diagnostic like they use in cars (if theres not im going on dragons den with the idea dont worry!) ;)

thanks in advance

Most modern boilers will require the instructions before you can fault find properly. Look at a NetBook or iPad etc. to keep instruction manuals on. I use gas installers workmate on my iPad.

Water
Air
Gas

It goes in that order. If you ain't got air you won't get gas etc

It's not about getting to know you as far as I'm concerned 'dylski' it's more about who is reading this now and in the future :) This forum is open to any tom-dick-Henrietta :)

i'm not a pub landlord or anything but if we had too many rules wouldnt it be germany, and too few we'd be italy

i think i would rather be italy than germany. much nicer food lol

Hello all, I'm would like to extend an existing outside tap to another point in the garden. I'm about to pour a concrete patio and was hoping to run the water line underneath. There are existing drain (and who knows what) pipes running along the same wall so I'm nervous about digging too far...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
