ECV letby on boiler install job

hi peeps,

Just tested the gas pre boiler install and the ECV is letting by. Obv I won’t know if there’s a drop on the system until the ECV is replaced, do I halt the install until this is done or carry on cuttinggas pipe so I can take the oldboiler off?

Cool.. but if it’s letting by, how am I to confirm the drop (if any) before I work on the gas run?

Disk the meter on the inlet side
Test carcass and meter but not ecv and flexible

Yeah they’ve already been out and replaced the ECV so happy days

Yea they normally do so your fine (classed as a emergency)

Yea needs to be the right stuff, but I think you have to pressure test the flue to make sure it's sound

The roof I think as can’t see them coming out the external walls

Ah can't complain mate, busy which is great.. Business is going well. Basically all I got done today was getting the old boiler off the wall and Cadent fitting a new ECV!
How about you Shaun, how's things?

Just have to move on and do something else like hang the boiler and sort the flue out or flush the system etc

Very good slowly ramping up the kids are off so the schools are starting to pick up
