Steer clear Ryan.

There are controls companies about that specialise in that sort of thing.

for larger domestic heating systems yes for ease of control but not commercial.

would defiantly not touch a commercial one !
it won't be obvious half the things they are wired too

I have worked on them but that doesn't mean I would recommend anyone does. It's down to your own abilities. I actually like them. Lights to show you what to expect and easy to get multimeter in to do tests.

BMS. Easy if you know what your looking at. Your description kinda makes me think you better move away! Open it up it's just a few relays and a few connectors. Nowt to it! All the Ferrells on cables are meaningless the sparks do it so it looks pretty.

a properly designed and wired control panel is very easy to work on, but if you dont know what they should do or how the system is designed then stay clear and leave to the controls experts

anything is easy to work on if you know what your doing

Worked on a few controlling big old Cochrane steamers. they were installed and wired very well, making it easy to work on, but I have seen loads, where I have opened them up and called a controls expert in.

Trends seem to be pretty straight forward but some just blow me away when i open them up... would love a bit of bms training..

A good BMS panel, has feedback that can be shorted out, safety that's easily bridged and most of all easily bodged

So the majority are telling me to get involved ? Nah only jokin guys suppose its nice to have another skill but ill steer clear

The ferrules are there because screw terminals damage the fine copper strands in flexible cable. A quality spark uses them and a run of the mill one doesn't

Ferrules are used to denote circuit and conductor Sorry really called cable identity z type markers, use a metal ferrule to get them on to cable hence name. Agree about crips for decent termination. !

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
