Hi All,
I’m a plumber of 8 years in London and fitted many a heating system however I’ve never fitted one onto Microbore (don’t get much in London).
Need to fit a heat only on a S plan system. Just wondering if there are any specific things I should be looking out for? Currently the heating is open vented. Also wondering if anyone has any tips for flushing it? Was thinking of mains flushing it through as have heard horror stories about power flushing it?
Hoping it’s just business as usual but wanted to check!!
Any advice welcome.
Cheers!

yea if its that mucky replace as its not the best / your cant flush micro

I have mains flushed microbore in the past without much difficulty. Got to be very careful to not put any pressure on the system. You just want to flush water through each pipe, not pressurise them.
The radiators I would prefer to remove and flush with hose from garden tap.

If it was my own house, - radiators plus microbore and rest of system to the scrappie and all new system installed. Waste of time and money on power flushing and still left with an outdated in function and looks system, IMO
