hi guys went to commission gas boilers today and the gas pipe from the meter is gastite in a ducting under concrete floor with subfloor. I believe it's one continue length with no joins. The yellow gastite pipe should be protected from uv rises and the fitting should be covered in a plastic coating tape. Is there any more you would advise?

Were you there to commission the boilers or the complete installation?
Were they installed by someone else employed by the company you work for?

Sounds correct gastite doesn't need tape on the joints either

And fine in outside eg uv but agree with the above

Wrk for company and never saw the complete installation from scratch.

Glass pvc tape cover the compression fitting that joins gastite.

Glass pvc tape cover the compression fitting that joins gastite.

Not needed but won't harm tracpipe is the one that requires it

But both require it if too much insulation has been removed

Denso tape wrap around gastite plastic pipe?

Not needed only time I would is if it's going in a concrete floor just for expansion etc could get away with pipe insulation as well

Handy stuff Gastite but needs to be installed correctly. Kop

Is the duct ventilated both ends?
Can you access the compression joints both ends?
Any other appliances?
Did the installer know what they were doing? Competent with the pipe etc?
