Can 40mm solvent ABS (e.g. Floplast) be glued into a 40mm pressure solvent PVC (unknown manufacturer) pipe fitting?

They're both solvent based, the Floplast solvent cement says it can glue both ABS and PVC, but can they be glued together?

You should always use the correct solvent cement for the 'generic' type of system i.e. pressure rated cement for pressure system and it needs to be from or approved by the manufacturer of the pipe/fittings.

What is your application, a gravity waste pipe? If it's anything pressurised I'd say NO.
