Just joined looking for general advice...

I have always done a fair bit of DIY around the house including basic electrical stuff, but I've always shied away from plumbing.

I would like to change that and learn a little bit about it before I actually need to fix something.

In the past I have changed taps and done a bit of soldering, but I was wondering is there anywhere I can learn the theory side of things? I what pipe should be used where, and the various types of fittings ect..I suppose what I could do with is a Plumbers Manual if there is such a thing?

Thanks in advance,

Peter
