How do you apply your flux?

As the title say's, how do you apply your flux?

So what are we gathering from this - that applying flux on the inside of the fitting as well as the outside of the pipe is perfectly fine? Now no one jump down my throat here I'm just trying to understand the reason for the poll.

I do both. Tried just the pipe, but the guy who was teaching me was not happy as I was doing it for him also and he didn't think it drawed properly

Mostly just the pipe, but I get lazy sometimes (if i cant find my flux brush) and just do the fitting with the end of my solder

So you do both for bigger pipe.....because it's more reliable?

I just do the pipe, likewise 28mm and above gets both pipe and fitting but only sparing.

I think so plus it's the way my boss taught me and he was old school and normally old school rules

I flux pipe only if its gas so no flux pushes into the pipe.
i don't want any restriction in a gas pipe as it can't be flushed through.

I've noticed that, little spots of purple on my blue Fruit Of The Loom tops.

Pipe and fittings. Never use a brush because it puts too much on. A wipe with the finger or the end of the solder for half inch.
