I want to fit a new shower cubicle with low profile tray but I think it may be possible that the waste outlet may fall directly over a wooden beam of the floor.

Can anyone suggest a way around this?

Someone suggested raising the tray on a plinth but that would look rubbish!

Any help would be appreciated.

Square or rectangle tray? If square spin tray 90 degrees if rectangle try another tray as the waste holes are in different places....

You have to choose the tray so the tray waste trap doesn't touch the joist.

Whatever you do don't do this

Thank you guys for taking the trouble to respond. Certainly some food for thought there and should get me around the problem.
