Been asked to change a Potterton to the Vaillant - not fitted the Vaillant before so looking for any possible headaches , wiring alterations etc that I need to take into account.

Both use permanent lives and pump fed from boiler so no drama on the elecs, what do you normally fit?

30Kw is a quite a big boiler, so must be quite a big system...

We had issues with the old style Vaillant 428 where it was fitted to a large system, almost at its limits (apparently). We had 22mm flow and returns from the boiler, to pump, zone valves etc. Had some circulation issues, and the boiler would run a bit strange, stayed on low burner most of the time. Changed the max output to 20Kw and it worked perfect! So worth checking out pipe sizes, Vaillant told us their 28Kw open vent boiler MUST be piped in 28mm to at least the zone valves, although they leave this out of the installation manual!

Yup, 400 series very susceptible to S:53 where it retards itself to low flame, not fitted heat only for 5 years now.....

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
