Just wondered if anybody has an opinion as to why some manufacturers ask for the prv on a sealed system to be installed on the flow pipework rather than the return?

Always put on the return same with expansion vessel as if you have a big pump could set it off / wear the diaphragm early depending on distance

Cheers for the reply mate but any idea why boiler manufacturers would specify it to be on the flow

Maybe they are stating its fitted before any controls On the system , as shaun says can go on the return always a open circuit back to the boiler cheers kop

Be interesting to see what manufactures said if there was a warranty issue and PRV was on return and they stated flow!

Our kitchen mixer tap has started dripping. Like so much of the plumbing in our almost new build bungalow, it is lacking! The plumber didn't install any isolating cocks in the H&C feed to the tap so how can I identify which of the valves is passing? Shut the whole H&C water system down?

The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...
