As above please tell me if you know who (UK retailer) sells 19mm diameter chrome copper tube for an existing shower riser. I can find plenty of 15mm and 22mm but 19mm..... like hen's teeth?

What the big deal if I use 19mm chrome plated steel tube instead of copper - will I lose that much heat? The compression fittings would still work surely. The length of pipe required is 1.2 metres.

No one sorry to say

Normally you can find one that accepts 22mm

But the shower itself is manufactured using 19mm (assuming its chromed copper, haven't checked) so it must be available. I just want to make tube longer

Where did you buy this shower from? Never heard of 19mm chrome copper.

The chromed tube might be made of chrome plated brass tube.
It has nothing to do with standard plumbing pipe size and is manufactured by the shower maker.
There is however, a rising kit available for converting a bath mixer into a solid fixed pipe and shower head. It might do your job if the connection to your shower is adaptable

Beware electrolytic corrosion. Steel to copper needs special joints.

19mm is a standard size for stainless-steel tubing, perhaps it's that?

Thanks so much for all your advices
Going for straight 19mm chrome on brass tube and take it from there. Bags of olives and PTFE. Thanks again guys!

Remember to file of the chrome where the olive sits. Shouldn`t need the PTFE.

dont need to mate only with soldered fittings

Must be rubber cone`s on chrome plastic waste`s then, I know you have to do it on something or it doesn`t grip.

Copper pipes, I think its fair to say, is not what it used to be, the copper is getting thin while the cost is going up. Meanwhile, plastic Pushfit seems to be getting better and better, cost and convenience was always better, but now the quality is to, have we reached a stage where plastic will...
