Looking at the possibility of working abroad and need some advice, particularly on which countries to look for, recruiters to look out for, and which ones to avoid. Seen some jobs posted particularly in the middle East, Afghanistan, Iraq etc and was wondering if anyone has experience of working in these areas and what it was like, salary, rotas etc. Bored of the regular 8-4.30 And really just looking for a change. Recently done offshore certs as well so rigs or backups also an option but finding it hard to get foot in the door coming from plumbing rather than pipefitting. Any advice or help would be massively appreciated. Currently 25, plumbing for 8 years.
 
Think you need to avoid the Middle east at the moment most are war zones ! try for some commonwealth countries Aus / new Zealand /Canada but I understand they can be difficult for work permits , Maybe try the EU countries first.
