I need to replace my 10 years old Aqualisa Aquarian shower mixer. Since it is a push fit connection, can I just pull the shower mixer out by force? Would I damage the exposed pipes by doing so?

Please help!

Many Thanks

You won't need much force, the water pressure usually blew them off the wall
The pipes are held in place by 2 grab rings.. Remove the case, remove the 4 screws holding the shower to the wall and the valve will come off. Squeeze the grab rings slightly and they will come off too leaving you with pipes at 6" centres that will suit most surface mounted shower valves.

Hi there, I have the same issue but can't locate/access the grab rings. The backplate/mount seems to be held in place by 5cm hard black plastic collars (with filters inside) – these spin but won't come off!
