If your water comes from a borehole then you are not going to have a mains tap.

water regs call for at least one mains tap, but TBH i'm not sure if it is a recommendation or requirement😱

if yu have your own supply, water regs dont apply, after all water regs are there to protect the water company's supply from pollution and waste. However the environmental health bods want you to have filtration units or uv cleansers or fluoride additives on a private supply
