Disconnecting shower pipes.

Hi Guys, I have just removed an unused shower from my house and have exposed the water pipe as can be seen in the attached photos. My question is "do I have to drain the whole house to then be able to cut the pipes where they are" or is there now a way of cutting the pipes and sealing them where they are ?. They will never be used again and will be concealed in the wall for good. I would appreciate any advice regarding this matter.

Yes will need to turn the feeds off eg if Combi turn the water mains off

If cylinder turn the feed to the cylinder off also the cold tank connection to the shower

Ideally you need to trace them back to where they tee off the distribution pipe and cap them as close to that as possible. Best not to leave dead legs in the system, mainly for hygiene purposes.

As guys above have said you will need to trace where the feeds come from and cap near as possible to the supply, it's not recommended to cap off supplies in the wall leaving a dead legs , the feeds will need isolating to do this either isolating the mains water supply and draining Or if you have inline valves to the shower use those .
