I took a radiator off in my main bedroom to decorate, since then my I've had no heating and hot water. I looked at the boiler and found a kind of trip button, pushed it back in and the boiler started heating hot water again.

Put the radiator back on today and upstairs radiators all kicked in instantly, but downstairs stayed cold. Turned the upstairs radiators off to see if the downstairs ones would then work but no joy and the trip button on the boiler keeps tripping, the boiler is heating up and still have hot water (until the boiler trips out) have opened up the valves on all radiators.

Any ideas??? Boiler was only serviced and given a safety certificate two weeks ago.

Cheers

Lee

It's a potterton prime in the kitchen, but I have an Emerson heater upstairs as well... Sorry I have no real knowledge just trying to determine if it's an issue I've caused taking the radiator off or something a bit more serious....
