Hot Water Issue

The temperature of the hot water throughout the house has fallen over the past couple of days and the hot water cylinder is hot at the top and cold at the bottom. Should this be the case of is there an issue here?

The central heating is working fine.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

If your cylinder has a thermostat on it what temp is t set at? Should be 1/3 up from bottom

Do you keep your christmas decorations in the airing cupboard?

Have you nudged the control on the cylinder stat putting them away ?

Sorry about the delay in replying - I have turned the thermostat up slightly which seems to have resolved the issue.
