Novice Bob

I recently removed all my radiators, manually flushed them through and refitted them.
I refilled, bled and balanced the system.

All rads now get good and hot and the boiler sounds fine.

However, when I select hot water, the pipes by the h/water cylinder make a squelching/squirting sound and the boiler sounds like a boiling kettle and seems to go off after a few minutes. When I deselect h/water, the motorised valve amkes a bit of a rattle when it turns off. None of this happened before.

Any ideas as to what's wrong?

Yes,

You have no flow through the boiler when you select hot water.

I wouldn't keep switching the boiler to hot water and let the boiler kettle like that to many times.
Unless of course you want expensive repairs or a boiler replacement.

Post and add on here and get someone in.

Many thanks for your reply oz-plumber, I will definitely heed your advice.

Out of curiosity, what could have caused the non-flow (on hot water) situation?

You say you have a Hw cylinder, is there any sort of a vent on it? On the cylinder primary circuit, the same pipework where the motorised valve is on?
