We have had trouble with the model making a "trombone" like noise on start up and low fire. We have changed the gas Valve, Burner and Injector. We have cleaned the Flue and fitted new gaskets. The Condensate trap is clean as is the drain pipe. The inlet gas pressure is 20mb on the inlet and is constant when other appliances are on line.

The boiler fires and is ok on high fire/demand conditions.

Any ideas

Not familiar with your boiler, but have you adjusted the ignition gas pressures and checked the electrode gaps etc?

The gas valve is new, they are set up and sealed in the factory with no onsite adjustment (thats what we have been told). The noise appears on startup and low fire only, How far out would the electrode gap have to be to cause this noise ?

Normally gas valves and PCBs need setting up if they've been changed/replaced, check the MI's on the electrode gap distance or call the manufacture and find out.

its 3.5mm im sure its ok but will have to whip it out and see.

Im a bit puzzled on how this can make the noise.

We have noticed that when the noise starts the flue "Plume" drops away ?

save ya money and invest in a new one

if you changed that many parts put it down AS a duffer and quote a new replacement
