Lead Work

Does anyone still do lead work if so much money in it?

It keeps my bother-in-law fully employed in an around London.

Lead is all he has done for years now & never been out of work.

The money depends on how big your arms are & how quick you can burn LOL

Down side is regular blood tests & if the lead count is high then no working for 6months until levels fall.
Oh... & dips in your shoulders were the rolls sit while you carry them around.

I hated lead work at college, I would quite like to do a bit every now and then though as now it appeals to me more just to have a different skill and add a bit of variation to the work.

Used to do quite a bit back in the day, New sites most things on roof, used to make up all my own lead slates, now its cheaper to buy them, Last big Lead roof was at the top of Mount Gould road,(Plymouth) Parapet wall, valleys, chimneys was on it for about 6 weeks,
