Hi, I sincerely hope that someone can help me. We recently had something inside the toilet renewed following a problem. This is now fixed but everytime you flush the loo (when the flush is completely finished) it rewards us with a resounding BANG and I mean loud. I am really worried that this will wake the neighbours, not to mention anyone else sleeping in the house. The washing machine also makes this noise following a cycle and I'm at my wits end as to how we can put this right. Can anyone offer any help with this please. Kindest regards

sounds like water hammer, the water pressure is causing the problem try to reduce it a touch by turning the mains down a touch ,and see if that helps.

Get a plumber to fit a miniture expansion vessel to your cold main
this should solve your problem

maybe put a flow restrictor where the water inlet of the toilet is, make sure the pipework is clipped properly aswell
