Its not out for sale yet is it?
Went to baxi and they said it was going to british gas first.

thats right i remember reading that somewhere, rumour has it that bg pressured baxi into launching the burmuda he

I have the brochure from Baxi and they sad I can get it from BG, but they also supplied me with their local rep. details (for trade use). I think they will tell me all of the nice things😡

I have actually fitted one. Bloody heavy things, 120kgs if I remember. There were a few teething probs and Baxi had to come out to commission. It has 2 burners, 1x 6kw which drives a stirling genereator, and 1 x 18kw which is capabale of modulating. this was a field test unit. Quite a clever unit though. Everything you can need. Its capable of retro fitting existing controls or using intelligent low voltage controls.

My concerns: lets say the end user see's 10 years use from this boiler, or is lucky and gets 15. The boiler is 4k alone, not to mention installation costs. So lets say 6k. Spread 6k over the working life of the boiler and is it really worth it?

So is that makes electricity from the hot water which is heated with fossil fuel or only makes electricity and heats the water separately from fossil fuel?

Hmm!

I think I read somewhere that somebody is trying to make a small nuclear power plant that burns cheap radioactive waste. The idea being they could be made small enough to fit in a house.

I also think I remember Rolls Royce are doing research into power cells that could replace local sub stations. Just top them up now and then with chemicals.

Another good idea might be to have bicycle generators that way we could get people exercising and making electricity at the same time. LOL!
