Hi all, we've moved into our new house and the hot taps have had a very slow flow since we've been here. We have a presurised system and i found this knob https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwL5BzqmCJ00VW43WkZSN09Wekk/edit?usp=docslist_api (don't know what its for!!) well, ive turned this blue knob clockwise a couple of times to the (+) sign and our hot water is now coming out really fast, which is perfect.!!! my question is, " is it ok to do this?" and whats it for ? as i have no idea !!! but it seems to have done the trick. thanks in advance. stcuk

Yes, it's a pressure reducing valve. These are often put on if the mains pressure is too high for the system. It's best to check what your system is supposed to operate at (Manufacture Instructions) and set it accordingly. It could cause a problem if it's operating at too high a setting.

If you don't have the instructions see if you can download them or phone up there customer support. There should be a pressure valve on it really, but there may be one elsewhere on the system.
