Hi everyone,
Unvented cylinder (electric)
Yesterday I pressed the reset button on the bottom thermostat then i went outside for a couple hours . When i got home i heard very noisy noise in water heater room, i saw a lot of hot water were running through the tundish for a minute or two then it repeated again in one hour later, the bottom thermostat was very hot and i could smell like plastic was burning from there. I think the water kept boiling and overheating.
Then I was really worried so i switched it off, the bottom thermostat were cool down. Then i check it this morning, i noticed there is a leak from the valve and the water is still dripping through the tundish but not as much as last night.
Does anyone know what the problem is ? and can u give me some advice what i should do ? how to fix it ?
