Vokera Boiler Problem

We have an oldish Vokera Boiler that is working fine on heating and hot water except for one thing when the heating as been on for a while and its got to a highish temperature 60-62 C the boiler sometimes fires down then imediately fires back up again. We have a thermastat downstairs but it nothing to do with this as its nowhere near warm enough to knock off the system. It isnt causing a problem and doesnt seem to do it all the time it just a bit worrying what its doing, we are trying to sell the house and i am hoping i dont need a new boiler or anything 😱 can anyone help??

could be a dirty thermistor you need to get someone in to look at it

thanks for that what is a thermistor?? sorry im an IT Guy 🙂 stick me in front of a knackered Laptop and i will get it working for you, Stick me in front of a boiler and i havent a clue 🙂

a thermistor is a sensor normally in the boiler water ways it sends info back to the pcb and tells the boiler what temperature to run at its basically a thermostat they are prone to playing up due to dirt in the system
