I'm not sure if tap manufacturers test their taps, never given it a thought before really. I've also never bought a tap that was already wet, washing machine yes but taps no.

If anything they're assuring you the tap has passed a quality control test so if there's anything wrong with it hit them with that email they sent you.

I have never had water in them before, but they must test them. Does the tap have any marks on it ?

i saw on how it's made once they were making taps, and at the end of the process the taps were tested.

Some makes of tap will have water in them from factory test.

I have come across a few - not many. Ithink they probably batch test them - 1 in 100 or even 1 in 1000. If all the bits are there, and there are no signs of it having been fitted, and it works, I can't see the problem.

Hi - I install a lot of Bristan taps and they sometimes have water run out of them as they do test them prior
to shipping.
